Crisis management
Crisis or disaster - whatever the cause - can happen at any time. And, by it's very nature, it is inevitably most devastating when it is sudden.
At such times, a crisis management plan affords a co-ordinated set of procedures that will ensure there is a positive, focused and effective response.
A plan in itself, however, is not sufficient. Leadership is required as many may be traumatised by the event.
A firm, rapid and certain response will inspire confidence. The more trained and exercised the responding organisations are, the better will be their reaction.

- When to call a crisis command team together and defining their role
- How to identify a 'creeping disaster'
- Handling internal and external communications
- When to invoke a recovery centre
- Dealing with building evacuations
- Monitoring the status of the business
- Justifying the need for training and awareness.
